Yes, this post has nothing at all to do with clothing, and it will probably be one of the only posts about food, but I was so excited that I had to share! I probably cook once every 3 months (I know, that is even hard to admit to myself), which is crazy because I have been married 3.5 years and have a 17 month old. I am cooking impaired, I sosososososo wish I wasn't.
So, naturally, when I made some chocolates (with HUGE help from my friend Dana who is in these pictures - thank you Dana) I was SO very proud. I melted choocolate, rolled caramel, dipped pretzels and truffles (with the filling Dana made - so I guess I didn't completely make the entire truffle). But it was shockingly easy. SHOCKINGLY. Here is the recipe for the chocolate or chocolate mint truffles, everything is explained there! The pretzels are even easier: Roll a chunk of carmel into a "snake", then gently roll the snake around the pretzel covering 3/4s of the pretzel, twist the carmel covered pretzel into a tall glass of chocolate (twist to cover all the carmel), let drain by holding it over the glass, and put on wax paper (sprinkle if desire!). ENJOY!
fun! I did a documentary in the Mrs Call's Carmamels factory once in Heber and they made pretzels like these for me to film. Then i got free ones and they were soooo goood.
