This was so surprisingly easy to make I was quite shocked. It took 5 minutes to print and transfer it to my shirt. Now that's my kind of project. I knew I chose the right animal when my husband was complimenting me even before I put it on. With this experience, I found this could be used for making a gift for the holidays or a cute way to update some hand-me-downs. I'm ready to add a deer onto a white onesie to spruce up Oli's (previously Beck's) wardrobe. Just a warning, buy quality transfer paper. The cheap stuff does not last long, cracks fast, and doesn't look good. Now happy transferring.
Supplies:
Shirt - I refashioned a men's top using this tutorial
Transfer paper (buy quality kind, I've heard Avery is good - not the transfer magic brand)
Printer
Digital image (found here)
Scissors
Instructions:
1. Make or buy a shirt. I made mine from my flattering tee tutorial.
2. Print an image on transfer paper as instructed on the package.
3. Cut image out. Cut it out very close to and around the image. I wish I had cut mine even closer.
3. Iron print to shirt and let cool.
4. Peel paper off.
I LOVE it! I definitely have to try this! :)
ReplyDeleteLove this! Do you have a transfer paper brand you recommend?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, all I know is the brand I used transfer magic and it was pretty terrible. Maybe because it was cheap. So probably more expensive brand would be better.:)
DeleteI love it! Where did you get the cute deer image?

ReplyDeleteI thought it was an elk too but my husband said it was a certain deer in some other country. Our husbands are hicks.
Deletethis is so AWESOME!!! i have been wanting to try the transfer thing for awhile now. Can you wash/dry it like normal or does it then become a line dry only thing? THANKS
