Chinese New Year Parade

Last weekend was one of the funnest weekends I've had here yet. I have always dreamed of watching the dragons in the chinese new year parade ever since I've watched Whats Up Doc as a little girl....it was awesome! At first we couldn't see a thing because there were a million people there and the majority of my family (all but my husband) are incredibly short. So after 1 patient hour or so, we worked our way up to the very front, plastered against the metal blockade. Oh was it worth the wait! We saw about 5 big dragons and 10 little ones, not to mention Ronald McDonald (beck's favorite place to sup, and his favorite clown).
If you want to see the dragon in action too, I posted a video just for you! I swear, I didn't mean for that to rhyme.

  2. I ache for cultural things like this. Our population in Tasmania is not multicultural, so we have to travel over the water to experience such lovelies.
