4th day of XMAS [tutorials] DIY holly and mistletoe for giftwrapping or decor!

IMG_7791cIMG_7824cIMG_7763c I may be obsessed with sewing and do it on a daily basis, but when it comes to crafting...I love the ideas and understand how they could be done...but I'm not very "crafty". I really have to work at it! So, with that being said....here are some mini holly or mistletoe to spice up your gift-wrapping, tiny wreaths for some extra oomph in your Christmas decor, and of course everyone needs some mistletoe floating around for kissing! It is really fun and easy to make, possibly a fun little craft to do with the kids! If you don't feel like hand cutting out the leaves or circles, grab or borrow a die cutting machine or a few punches.
Supplies:
1/8 yard of different green and red felt
scissors
optional: die cut machine (I used a Sizzix...LOVE it)
hot glue gun or fabric glue
 yarn
little bit of cardboard

Instructions: Felt Holly Wreath: Cut out a circle from cardboard and paint it green. Then add a ring of glue and start a layer of felt leave, then add a second layer mingling the leaves nicely to make it look more natural. Start gluing the red holly berries around the wreath, layer them through out the leaves. felt wreath and mistletoe1 copy Mistletoe: Glue layers of leaves together, one on top of each other (If you are cutting these out by hand, leave stems on a lot of them) until you have a nice bunch. Before you get to the fullest you want it, glue a loop of yarn in the middle for haning, then glue felt leaves on top of the loop to conceal the yarn. Glue on white felt circles, mingling them throughout the leaves. felt wreath and mistletoe
