taking in the shoulders: part 2

I find this tutorial super easy and it actually can improve the look of the top/dress or whatever overall!
What you do?
Create either pleats or pintucks at the shoulder.
Supplies:
top
sewing machine or needle and thread
thread
scissors
flexible measuring tape
fabric pen or marking chalk
iron
pins
Instructions:
How to do it?
Measure how much of the shoulder you want to take in, then create 2 to how ever many you need that would equal the amount needed to take out. Or if you are like me...just guess by eyeballing it and have a seam ripper handy :). So, when you create a pleat, which is what I did, you fold a little of the fabric toward the shoulder and sew a few stitches through it to keep it in place. Repeat as many times as you like! Then for best results...iron iron iron. Which I didn't do in the picture above, oh well. Thats it!

  3. I've been looking for an easy way to take in shoulder, I just found IT!!!!!

The other way would be to deconstruct the entire thing, cut and piece back together. :)
