My first day in NYC = LOVE

Our first day in NYC was SO awesome! I will say though, due to my sandals and out of shape-ness, I'm going to be soooooore tomorrow. I haven't exactly walked 8 hours straight lately. Does that call me lazy? Yes, yes, it does. I brought plenty of tylenol so I'm set to jet tomorrow.

Anyway, we waited in line for 40 mintues to eat some deliciously worth it pizza at Grimaldi's....yummmmmmy. Then followed that up with some white vanilla and chocolate chip chunks at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and ate it under the Brooklyn Bridge. At this point we strolled across the Brooklyn Bridge and I awed at tall buildings and Lady Liberty. After crossing the bridge, we checked out the financial district of New York, it was BEAUtiful. There were tall, ornate modern and  historic buildings, cathedrals, and a random bull. I can't wait to see New York tomorrow. I do miss miss my little man though...wish I could give him cuddles and kisses.

I won't be doing much refashioning/sewing for the next few days, I apologize ...but I think you guys understand. But I do have another BIG surprise planned for Sunday!

  1. I'm so glad you went on the High Line! That's my favorite park in NYC. And I'm glad you walked everywhere; that is the best way to experience the city. One time I walked from my apartment in Hell's Kitchen down to Chinatown. Needless to say, I took the subway back.

My husband is at law school at NYU and knows of your brother-in-law; how random!

  3. Lucky you, I'd love to get to explore those areas, I've only ever driven through New York (well, actually, I believe we went a couple of times when we lived in Philly, but I was 3, so don't really remember!)

  6. So fun!!! We've been to Grimaldi's twice, sooo good. This summer when we drive over to visit Ash I want to go to the brooklyn ice cream factory too!! And Ash says you got the best flavor! Wish we could be there to hang out with you guys but I'm sure you're too busy being able to spend quality time with the hub. So awesome. Live it up girl!
