How to make a round neckline into a boat neckline

I have many projects to do in so little time...why so little time? Well, you guys will soon see that something big is coming up in my life and I have to get many projects done before it happens. And this was one of them. Tutorial on how to crop top here and boat neck instructions below. Although I do love the new shirt, I really really LOVE the skirt. If you guys want an in depth tutorial on how to add a ruffle to pencil skirt, find it here.

So much to do so much to do! Wish me luck to get it all done!

 top: thrifted/refashioned    skirt: thrifted/refashioned    shoes: guess   necklace: grandma's   ring:f21

Instructions:
1. cut slits into the side seams to how far you want the boat neckline to be
2. then fold over the neckline, so you will be sewing the old collar and the extra fabric down. I sewed two rows, one near the bottom of the new collar and one toward the top.

  15. Would you do a tutorial for the refashion you did on that checked button down? It ended up fitted to the waist with a peplum skirt? CUTE! I love your blog- very inspiring, and I can't wait to see what you do next... Keep it up!

  16. Hi, I'm new to your site, I found you via pinterest. I just bought a sewing machine last week with the main goal being refashioning clothes. After seeing a few of your postes pinned I started following you on reader but now I keep seeing pins for and they all seem to lead back to your blog! very well done :) I'm a fan
