Now that i'm almost settled back in and the internet is finally up as of an hour ago....I am SO excited to get sewing projects and my blog up and running again! YAY! You have NO idea. I've been losing sleep over all the ideas I have.
My question to you.....If I could do any video tutorial in the world, what would you want it to be?
I do have LOTS of ideas, but I was just wondering if there is anything in particular you guys want to know or something I've done that may be better explained in video. Let me know.
This is what we are up to right now.....sweatshirts with glasses and bubble baths with nemo. Hmmmmm. How I have missed home.
Welcome back Liz!!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Welcome home :) I can't wait to read/watch all your sewing ideas. I so need some inspiration. I think a video tutorial on any one of your ideas would be awesome. :)
ReplyDeletewelcome back :)
ReplyDeletei want a bubble bath now.
I would love to have you do a tutorial on how to attract readers...you obviously have the knack...sorry it's not clothes related.
ReplyDeleteHow to make skinny jeans out of boot cut or flared.
ReplyDeletei agree with the skinny jeans. or any kind of alreration project. ive been on the lookout for a poly or silk white button up thats really long, long enough to wear with tights. and i would have to take it in probably. so how to you deal with the cuffs??? that would be helpful
ReplyDeletecreating an old piece of clothing with lots of material into something completely new. Old prom dress, for example. Or maybe a tutorial on a making a clutch or pouch with a zipper.
ReplyDeleteone more idea... was looking at Valentino Prêt-à-Porter sale and couldn't think it was fabulous because he made something pretty ordinary look elegant. So yeah, a tutorial on taking an ordinary article of clothing we all having in our closet (for example, a button down sleeved shirt or a shift dress) and making it looking unique and elegant. What do you think?
ReplyDeletea skirt tutorial with putting in a zipper! i have yet to try a zipper. i'm little nervous. i followed another skirt tutorial the other night & loved it. messed up on the pleat a tad; so it ended up being a little big. i followed your skinny jeans tutorial a couple months ago & everything turned out fantastic! every easy to follow:)
ReplyDeleteA simple hobo bag. I tried one once, but the pattern wasn't all labeled so you kinda had tO guess what some of it was. Needless to say, it didn't turn out.
ReplyDeleteI completely hear ya on the missing home thing, I'm dying to go home. My husband and I have been in NC for almost 5 months now. I'm missing my home and family and just Texas in general. I'm glad your home and so excited to see all the tutorials again! Perhaps I'm just a newbie seamstress but I would love to see a skirt done with big pleats. I saw a gorgeous skirt on another bloggers blog that went all the way to the knees and was full and had pleats and it's lovely! I'd love to see something like that! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!

I agree with the jeans ideas above.
ReplyDeleteAlso, on another note, I just ran across one of your tutorials that had been pinned on Pinterest! I thought that was very exciting!
Hi! I agree with Catherine of taking an ordinary article of clothing we all having in our closet and making it looking unique and elegant. I love refashion!
ReplyDeleteBut i would like to learn too how to make a basic (and easy) dress pattern, and do it the dress (or any other clothe!), because i am not a good "seamstress"...
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! really appreciate :)
I love the tutorial for the yellow grecian dress. I want to make one and make one in black. I would love a tutorial on how to make ruffles though. That would be so useful!
ReplyDeleteHi! I would like to read about tips, how to buy used clothes, when buying something is good, how you know the fabric is right, and the pattern will be good, and all small tricks when you want to refashion it...I ask for this because i bought 2 dresses a while ago and have no clue what to do with it...:) Ooh, and one thing also; have you any tips for different tipes of women, cause i'm not as skinny as you are and some slothes look faboulous on you but probably not on me...:)) Have a nice day, thank you for sharing with us! Love from Slovenia!;) Beti
ReplyDeleteI would love a tutorial on how to take a maternity skirt and turn it into a non-maternity skirt. I have a maternity skirt that I just LOVE but would it has the full panel that I would like to get rid of.
