Detachable purple leather collar

I refashioned this detachable purple leather collar from a not-so-cute leather jacket I swapped up at the blogger swap meetup party ages ago. One of the easiest refashions yet...just chop off the collar. Because it is leather it isn't going to fray. I just made sure to keep the top button so I can snap it in place! The other half of the jacket is currently waiting to be a small clutch purse, but with the lack of an industrial sewing machine, I can't totally finish it....on my to do list....buy an industrial sewing machine.

I don't look pregnant straight on in this outfit....a flowy shirt and jeggings can do wonders. And love my vintage shoes that my sister-in-law thrifted for me! Aren't they amazing?!
top&ring: f21  collar: refashioned&thrifed   pants: sevens  shoes: vintage&thrifted   glasses: china fakies

Supplies:
coat, button up or something with a collar
scissors
sewing machine or needle and thread

Instructions:
Cut the collar off, trim it down.
OR
If you have an industrial sewing machine, seam rip the collar off and re sew it back up with out the coat attached.
