Oh how I love my high waisted pleated trousers.....when I can fit in to them. Thanks to Emily, I can live vicariously thorough her and her skinniness (i.e. non-pregnant-ness). I love how a little tweaking here and there can go a LONG way.
Follow this tailoring your trousers tutorial, but don't take anything out of the, you know, crouch area to keep it nice and high waisted....unless of course they need to be taken up then follow the tutorial completely.
Lovely! Definitely on my summer to do list.
ReplyDeleteCute! Need to make this ASAP!

Lovely, great idea!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can keep pants high waisted while raising the crotch by putting them on and pulling them up to where they fit on the crotch (Take note of where this is on your body) then pull (lift/lower) them to where you want them to sit at your waist. There will be a difference between the two points at where the pants sit. (Say, 2 inches) you will then seam rip the pants from knee to knee and take 2 inches (an inch on each side) out of the front legs of the pants (back legs for mens) I don't know if that makes sense, but ..there ya go anyway :)

I used to have a dress in this print back in the Philippines and in the same style as well except for the bottom part. I wish I brought it with me, but too late now. Anyway, this is so beautiful. I am your new follower and I just love your blog.
