My sister-in-law Erin moved into town from Salt Lake last month and shares the same love of vintage/antique/thrift stores! YAY! She is the best at finding valuable and cute stuff, she is a little pro. She picked out a vintage 70's dress for me and it fit like a glove! It was 3 dollars, thats it!! I found a cute sheath black and white dress that is 3 sizes to big for me, but has great potential for refashioning. I will need to work my refashionista magic on it! My goal is to make it look like it came out of the mad men show. I just love the sheath dress and pencil skirt look! It is sexy, yet classy at the same time. I want to take it in to make it my size, add cap sleeves, shorten it, and possibly lower the neckline or add some sort of embellishment to brake up the black and white - there is tooo much.
duh, here's my email if you ever want to hook up

Hey Liz! This is Darcie (my parents live across the street from you..yard sale...ringing a bell?). Anyway, I'm done with that striped fabric and from what I can tell from your blog, you'll find a good use for it. My sis-in-law and I are having this big wedding event where brides come and get inspired for how to plan an outside-the-box wedding. I'm decorating the photography studio top to bottom with handmade paper crafts for it all this week. If you and Beck get bored, you should come by and get your craft on.
ReplyDeleteSo fun!! You look so cute in that and I'm sure you've already spruced it up real nice! I'm glad you have someone to do that fun stuff with. You've got talent!
