Little Beckster turned one last Sunday and he partied all night long! Well, until 8 o'clock. We celebrated at my in-laws where there were of course colorful balloons, hats, presents and best of all chocolate cake. I baked, for my very first time in my life, chocolate cake! It turned out great, a bit concave, but delicious! Beck seemed to think so anyway. He also got some amazing gifts; Water toys, toy toys, word books, including one he is scared of because it makes loud animal noises, a plastic slide, and some cute gap clothes and shoes (which I am the most excited about because it included 2 pairs of skinny jeans and sweet sneakers).
I'm not going to lie, I was a bit sad when he turned one. He is my little baby....toddler. I love the age he is right now, it is so fun!
So, yesterday I went to his one year check up and he is in the fifth percentile of weight and above average for height. I wish I could sprinkle calories on his food. He just hates to eat and loves to play. Not a good combo. The doctor also said he is ahead of the game because he already points, says more than 2 words (his first word was dada), walked early, and is interested in books. He is a smart one! I love that boy.
Liz I cannot believe beck is 1. I wish we could've been there to celebrate. I love how long his hair is getting and how curly and wild it is! Mike and I miss you all so so much. We love you!
ReplyDeleteLiz, he is so adorable and that cake looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteSo cute and so fun! I finally remembered to put your blog link onto my link list so I'll check it more often then I was. Anyways, he's looking like such a cute grown up little man! Way to go on the cake, super cute!
