I only own one infinity (also known as circle or tube) scarf, and it was the one I made from the knit, tee-shirt-like remnants of the giveaway scarf. And I love it! Now, I really want to have some chunky knit/crocheted looking infinity scarves to complete my scarf collection. Unfortunately, I have no knitting skills or patience to hand make a scarf, so, the lazy women (or mama with no time) way to quickly make your own is to refashion an old scarf! Easiest ever!! Just hand stitch the two ends of the scarf with matching, strong thread and make sure to knot at the end! If you don't have matching thread (like me) then carefully hide the stitches on the inside of the scarf. All scarfs are knit differently, so the way to hide the stitching is different depending on the scarf! And the cool thing is....if you don't want it to be an infinity scarf next year then cut the stitches and it is back to normal. Awesome!!! I did a second one just for fun, it takes a few minutes.
I hope you don't think I'm crazy for commenting so much. I just love it all and want to share! I did the same thing with one of my scarfs today except I made it temporary. Just safety pins!

I love this idea - I thought about using buttons to do this. I could put them on both ends so they would be decorative when unbuttoned, and useful when buttoned.
