I've always had a hard time purchasing maternity clothes because of two things; the fit and the lack of creativity. That is why making maternity clothes is SO much better than purchasing them!! You can customize - make smaller or bigger, make lower or higher or what have you. For me....I wanted some floral flare and with Megan Nielsen's ruched maternity pattern, I was set to have a darling top. It only required 3 pieces and a few instructions, easier than I thought! Hmmmm....wouldn't it be cute as a dress too?
pants: thrifted top: self-made MN patterns shoes: toms
Have you checked out DIY maternity yet? I'm posting over there too!

ReplyDeleteI love that! So freakin cute. I am going to have to make something similar, non-maternity style (for now)!
ReplyDeleteI love your top, I have the same pattern but I haven't made a shirt yet. I've made Megan's wrap top and the pencil skirt and I recommend both of them :) I'm glad your shirt turned out so well, it's motivation for me to go home and make my own. YAY! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDo I need a serger or can I just use a regular sewing machine for your projects? I'm new to sewing and don't know where to begin...
ReplyDeleteyou are so creative, I love all your posts. This is random, but did you post a long time ago about the maya wrap ring sling? I am looking to purchase a sling and I feel like I remember you reviewing one. Sorry if I am totally off. If it was you, did you like it?

ReplyDeleteI've looked through a lot of your posts - all the skinny jeans you are wearing are perfect!Perfectly skinny from top to bottom. What brand/style to you stick to? Everytime I buy a pair of skinny jeans, they stretch out in a little while and look bad...
