Meet my creepy side yard.

I sewed this vest from thrifted fabric and a cute 70s' pattern! It was a very tedious project....lots of pinning, marking, cutting, and fitting. I love the outcome though. I guess I say that every time. These pictures are very tilted because I took it in my slanted/creepy side yard that never gets mowed and has a humungous elk dead head......rotting dead head.....fur/gooey-ness and all. I was on the verge of tossing my, um five guys cajun fries the whole time. Hence the stink face in some of these photos.
Today's weather was AMAZING and I took advantage of every minute. Can you believe there are a couple of horses down the street from me....I mean on a busy street in a cramped neighborhood. It is random. Beck and I visited them today, Beck is frightened out of his mind, we tried to feed the baby shetland pony some craisins which he had no desire for. Maybe I will sneak the little guy some apples or carrots.

  3. That vest is awesome! Are you a self-taught sewer or did someone teach you? I really want to sew, but have no idea how!

  4. I don't remember ever looking THAT cute in the 70's! You have turned up the volume on a great 70's classic. I still love and wear vests. The only thing missing is a pocket watch!
